Lupus Films’ very own Camilla Deakin has been selected to join 24 other film makers from around the globe to take part in a special Producers Lab for emerging feature film producers at the Toronto Film Festival. Camilla will be invited to pitch feature films that Lupus currently has in development and take part in various sessions on funding and co-production possibilities, networking events and one to one meetings.
Now in its seventh year, the initiative is run by European Film Promotion in collaboration with Ontario Media Development Corporation and Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and will take place from September 6-9 at this year’s TIFF. The successful networking platform has facilitated the development of several trans-Atlantic co-productions, such as the Canadian-Irish co-production Unless by Irish director Alan Gilsenan, which was originally presented at the Producers Lab 2011 and will celebrate its world premiere at TIFF’s 2016 edition.
The Producers Lab is supported by Creative Europe’s MEDIA programme in association with Screen Australia, the New Zealand Film Commission, the participating EFP member organisations, Eurimages, and Telefilm Canada.
