Ethel & Ernest


Based on the award-winning book by Raymond Briggs, this hand-drawn animated film tells the true story of his parents, Ethel and Ernest. Following their lives from their meeting in 1928 to their deaths in 1971, the film depicts significant 20th-century events through their eyes. Featuring performances by Jim Broadbent, Brenda Blethyn, and Luke Treadaway, Ethel & Ernest is a heartfelt tribute to an ordinary couple amidst extraordinary social change.
