Camilla is an Emmy award-winning creative producer who began her career as a freelance journalist before moving into producing and directing TV documentaries and arts programmes. She joined the Arts and Music department of Channel 4 in 1999 where she was Editor, Arts & Animation. Camilla left Channel 4 at the end of 2001 to set up Lupus Films with friend and colleague Ruth Fielding. Together they have developed the company to become one of the world’s leading film and television production companies.
Camilla has produced animation and live action films and series for the BBC, Channel 4, Five, ITV, Disney and Cartoon Network, as well as Executive Producing a number of award-winning shorts for Channel 4 and the UK Film Council.
Camilla produced Ethel & Ernest, an animated feature film based on the bestselling graphic novel by Raymond Briggs; two series of popular CG pre-school show The Hive for Disney Junior, which is shown in over 150 territories worldwide and the BAFTA-nominated The Snowman and The Snowdog and We’re Going on a Bear Hunt and the International Kids Emmy Award-winning The Tiger Who Came to Tea.
Camilla heads up Lupus Films’ feature film slate which include an adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s best-selling novel Kensuke’s Kingdom, a feature film about the life of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, Las Dos Fridas, and an adaptation of the best-selling Molesworth books written by Geoffrey Willans and illustrated by Ronald Searle.
